As a writer, I’m in love with the beauty of the natural world around me—and with the magic that tends to come with it! Through my stories, I want to take readers on adventures full of mystery and romance. These are my worlds!
The Pioneer Brides of Rattlesnake Ridge
Historical Sweet Romance Shared World Series
The Pioneer Brides of Rattlesnake Ridge is a sweet historical romance series from Sweet Promise Press. The series revolves around a silver mining town in Nevada in the 1870s, and the women who shape the town’s destiny: from female miners to mail order brides, teachers, doctors, and more. Each of these women carves out her own path and finds love in the wild west. My book (also the first book in the series), Arriving from Arkansas, is available now, and I’m currently working on another entry to the series, Sailing from Scotland.
Contemporary Fantasy/Sweet Romance Series
My ongoing series takes place in the beautiful area I call my home, the Pacific Northwest. Set in a variety of small towns in the states of Oregon and Washington, with their picturesque woods and old houses teeming with history, each book of this series features a different heroine with a unique magical ability—and no matter where they go or what mystery they encounter, they find that the mischievous and somewhat duplicitous fae are always nearby, watching… and sometimes helping, if it suits their fancy.
Inspired by the magic I’ve encountered in the trees near my home and on the beautiful illustrations of Brian Froud, Northwest Magic is a sweet romance series infused with slight hints of the paranormal and a dash of cozy mystery, perfect for readers of any of these genres.
The Treasure of Cinque Taere
Historical Romantic Suspense Series
My upcoming series is set in the fictional Mediterranean kingdom of Cinque Taere, an island nation off the coast of Italy. Inspired by the incomparable romantic suspense novels of Mary Stewart, the series is set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, as the world is still recovering from the devastation of World War II and is caught in the grip of the Cold War. It is said that the kingdom had been protected by three ancient relics, said to be blessed by the gods of old—a treasure so powerful that Mussolini and the Axis had been willing to stop at nothing to get their hands on them. Now, fifteen years after the close of the war, the royal family of Cinque Taere is desperate to recover the artifacts in order to restore their kingdom’s greatness—but they’ll have to put their faith in a surprising source, a young American archaeologist who may not only hold the key to saving Cinque Taere, but to the Crown Prince’s heart as well. But they’ll have to move fast, because enemy agents are after the treasure as well…
Full of danger, mystery, and romance, the Treasure of Cinque Taere series will sweep your off your feet to a far-off time and place, where handsome princes and enchanted treasures truly do exist.
The One That Got Away is a stand-alone contemporary romantic comedy in the vein of Meg Cabot’s The Boy Next Door and The Princess Diaries. Told through text messages, e-mails and journal entries, the story is set in the fictional town of Plymouth, Oregon, based on a real-life town along the Columbia River that’s known for vampires, witches and some purported real-life hauntings. 😉
